Ice Cream Week has begun!

So, this all started when I was sitting at my craft table trying to figure out what to make next. And then it popped into my head: theme weeks and then ice cream. So I am so thrilled to introduce to you my first ever theme week: ice cream. I know ice cream is more of a summer thing but with spring break now over for me summer is the one thing I got on my mind :)
Ice Cream Week- Vanilla Ice Cream Cone Polymer Clay Earrings

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

The Store is A'Rolling!!

Hey guys! It has been such a long time since I have made new items to add to my shop, but I plan on going on a making spree and loading up on brand new items (no more lame re-lists :D).
Fluffy Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Polymer Clay Earrings
AANNDD in addition to some new foodie jewelry, I am expanding my horizons and am in the process of some really cool themed lines, including (wait for it, wait for it....) Harry Potter. Right now I just have three necklaces that I am going to list...that is if they ever decide to dry, just to see how they sell or how well they don't sell. But I have to say that they were so so so much fun to make and I really do hope that they sell well!

I hope your guy's spring is fantastic and you are all getting a chance to venture outside and enjoy nature, I am going to be spending most of the day photographing new items outside so I am super excited!

Complete Overhaul

Yummy Donuts with Blueberry Frosting and Sprinkles Polymer Clay Earring Studs
So I haven't blogged in a long time, which I apologize for, but I have a reason this time! :)

I am attempting to do a complete overhaul of my shop. New items, new pictures, new feel.

I have been contemplating changing my photos for a long time because I found them to be pretty boring and didn't match the feel I wanted to have in my shop. I decided on an idea that I have seen many miniature food stores do. They placed their items on small plates with colorful backgrounds. All I have to say is I am loving the new look. I have only photographed one of my items but I love it.

Its going to take me quite a while to rephotograph and upload all the pictures but I think it is going to be totally worth it.

As well as new photos I have made so many new items including donuts, cake, snow cones and tons of others. But what I am so excited about is what I am calling my "new line" of jewelry which is more adult-like I like to say. Here is a link to the first ring I have listed: http://www.etsy.com/listing/77278675/gorgeous-polymer-clay-rainbow-swirled?ref=v1_other_2.

Finally before I go back to my pictures I want to welcome all the new followers. I can't believe I am up to 70!! Wow!! As soon as I can get to it I want to look at all your guys blogs and follow back. Thanks for everything guys!!

Food Lover's Wine Glass Charms

I am so excited that I have finally gotten around to listing my wine glass charm set. I already had all the charms sitting out and was just waiting for the hoops to arrive and they are here! I slid the charms on, went outside (it was absolutely gorgeous out there today!), took the pics, and now I am back in here waiting for the photos to upload onto etsy. I think I always get WAY to excited when I list a brand new item, but for me just one item is a lot! :) Anyways, I hope you guys like them:
I am currently listing them for $20 but I am thinking about possibly lowering the price a bit, since it looks like most of the other stores are selling them at around $15-$18.

My First Ring!

After having received my package I ordered from eBay containing ring blanks I am so excited to announce that I have listed my first ring: A hamburger ring. I hope you guys like it! The hamburger half is actually left over from some hamburger and fries cuff links that I made around Christmas time. So I just applied some super glue and voila!!

Right now it is listed for $6.00, but I wanted to know if you thought that was a reasonable price?

Coming Soon: Food Rings

All I can say is that I am so excited!! I had ordered some ring blanks from China about 2 months ago, thinking they were never going to get here. But the package arrived today and AHHH!!! I just can't believe they are finally here. I have actually already made two rings that I hope to list in my etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CreationsbyColette?ref=si_shop very soon! The two rings I have made so far are a pink sprinkled donut and hamburger rings. I have had a lot of people telling me that they wish I made jewelry for people without pierced ears and I am so happy that I finally can. Look out for them and if you have any ideas for what you would like to see made let me know. Thanks for reading my blog :D

It's almost time for gardening!!

I have to say that I am very excited about the fact that it is starting to warm up and about to be time that I can start gardening. This is actually my first year growing a full size garden (last year I just had pots). I already started some of the seeds indoors, although none of them have sprouted yet, I think I might just have to wait and plant the seeds directly into the ground. Hopefully having a garden won't create more stress in my life, I'm hoping it will relieve it but we'll see.

In other news, I have two brand new items in my store: St.Patricks Day Cake and Ice Cream Sandwich (as well tomorrow I will be listing Pumpkin Pie Earrings again.) Please check them out:

Thanks for reading!!!!!!

New Listing, please check it out!

I have just finished posting my newest listing for Lemon Meringue Pie Earrings

I am currently selling them for $6.50!

To make them I basically mixed some yellow and translucent clay for the yellow portion and topped that with plain white clay. Next I covered the pie in ecru clay for the crust and dusted it with orange chalk pastel. The whipped cream texture is from mixing some TLS with white chalk pastel and white clay until you get the consistency that you like.

TIP: I plan out how I am going to cut up the whole pie before I add the TLS and place eye pins in each of the pieces. That way once you cut the pie up, you can just bake them instead of going through the frustrating process of trying to get the eye pins in.

Frosted Mini Donuts

These look good enough to eat and are sooooo easy to make! They are currently selling in my etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CreationsbyColette for $6.00.

Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Rolls

Hello again! So one of my newest creations are these cinnamon roll earrings. Well, they aren't really new creations since I have made them before but these are new and improved! They are listed on my etsy store, so go and check them out: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CreationsbyColette. Right now they are listed for $6.50 for dangle earrings.

Basically to make them, you just take some ecru clay and burnt umber (I used Premo! but any type of clay would work). Make a elongated strand about 1 1/2" long. Roll them out and place them on top of each other. Roll them up into a roll. Use some orange chalk pastel and brush it on the roll to give it a baked look. Stick a headpin or eye pin through one side and out the other. Next take TLS (translucent liquid sculpey) and mix it with a little white chalk pastel. Pour that over your rolls and play with it until you like how it looks. Finally bake your roll based on the packages directions and once it done brush a layer of glaze over it and enjoy! Hopefully later I will be able to provide photos or at least a better explanation.
